At Stock Headline Sentiment, we believe that your financial research data belongs to you. Our extension is architected on a foundational principle of privacy by design.

1. Data Minimization and Local Storage

We do not host, store, or transmit your tracked tickers, portfolio logs, sentiment classifications, or custom notes to external servers. All structural tracking data (referred to as "Trails") is processed locally and saved strictly to your browser’s isolated database via IndexedDB.

2. Permissions Disclosures

We request explicit user permissions only for core functions:

• sidePanel: To render your journal natively.
• storage: To save your encrypted preferences and logs locally.
• tabs: To surface financial headlines on the sites you browse.
• identity: To perform secure, client-side Google OAuth for premium entitlement validation.

3. Third-Party Services

User email signatures are restricted to client-side entitlement validation and are never distributed, sold, or shared with third parties.

We use Firebase for license verification and Razorpay for payment processing. These services have their own privacy policies regarding the data they handle during transactions.
